Some things are repeated. Not once or twice but repeated a lot. This is often assumed that such a thing is essential. One would wonder if, after harping over and over repeatedly, people will finally see the rationale behind it and do what is required. Typically, that is not the case.
Mastery is usually achieved after a period of repetition. This is the practice of the craft. Malcolm Gladwell’s 10,000-hour rule comes to mind.
In most things in life, such as investing. The rules are simple. Simple doesn’t mean easy.
While there are complexities, context and other subtle differences, the general idea is the same.
Because these rules are simple, they look and feel boring. But, in the words of The Hitman’s bodyguard, “Boring is always Best”. not always, but you get the idea.
